The all seeing eye? Well, not really

It is 6 cents after all not 6th sense.  Yes, that's right, another change meter update, as we are now up to (drumroll please) $.88.  I wonder if I would find more money if I produced some vignettes about how much Timmy enjoys his new crutches.

Just getting ready for another fine radio show here, though it will be hard to top yesterday's efforts.  We spent the better portion of two hours talking about voting machines, and the fact that the new ones that are to be purchased by the county may not have a paper trail, which means that should there be a need for a recount, there would be no way to do it.  Of course I didn't know we were going to talk about this topic until I received an email about an hour and a half before the show started, yet I was still able to get all three members of the County Board of Elections on the show.  It was booking on the fly 101, for those of you studying at home.  It has been a while since I had to get a guest while the show was in progress, usually you can book them in advance, but given the board is meeting today, we wanted them on before that happened.  Getting one member would have been nice, getting all three shows why I am the best underpaid producer in Pittsburgh radio.

Thoughts and well wishes out to the King family, as Coretta Scott King has passed away.  For those that don't know, she was the wife of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.

You would think that the local news would have possibly ran the above story, or the fact that today the President gives his State of the Union address, or maybe Samuel Alito's confirmation vote today to take a seat on the US Supreme Court, or maybe even the fact that we are on the last day or two of Alan Greenspan's reign as Chairman of the Federal Reserve, but instead the local news had such nice pieces of info as "There is a new Ben Roethlisberger T-Shirt" and a company is going to produce another 1 million Terrible Towels.  THis Steeler mania stuff at the expense of everything else is starting to make me want to root for Seattle.

Oh well, gotta run, have to get the cassettes and reel to reel ready for the show, which kicks off in about an hour.
