Karaoke Friday - I need to do something

I have been neglecting a lot of things recently.  I am probably four hockey games behind in doing videos, plus I am sure I could talk about actually getting to go to Wednesday night's game (a 6-5 loss that featured possibly the worst goal allowed ever), and of course there is what is becoming my shitstorm of an existence, but it is Friday and rather than bitch and moan, I think I will just pop in a nice mellow Karaoke tune and try to relax.

Karaoke Friday - Age appropriate

It has been quite a while since I have done one of these here things, and because of that, I needed to find something that was equal parts awful yet appropriate before I just threw any old video on the page.  Thankfully while at work the other day I heard an older song that fit the bill of both quite nicely.  All hail Karaoke Friday indeed.

Turning in

Another fine Saturday and I am sitting here at the Squirrel Cage, waiting for lunch to arrive in the form of today’s special, a turkey, bacon and Swiss sandwich and French fries.     It is still relatively early yet, not even 2 pm, but there is a Penguins game on the TV above the bar, which is always a nice distraction from time to time.   The Penguins are 8-3 and while I would say this young season, after losing half of the year to the NHL lockout, in truth we are already about a quarter of the way done with the season.

Capitals @ Penguins 2/7/13

Pittsburgh 5  Washington 2

Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin - G, 2 A each

Pittsburgh's 5 second period goals were the most goals in one period since scoring 5 in a period against Tampa Bay on 1/5/11

Penguins @ NY Islanders 2/5/13

Pittsburgh 4  NY Islanders 2

James Neal, Simon Despres, Brandon Sutter, Pascal Dupuis - G each

Nine different Penguins registered one point in the contest

Penguins @ Capitals 2/3/13

Pittsburgh 6  Washington 3

Chris Kunitz - 4 G

The first goal, originally attributed to Paul Martin, was later credited to Kunitz on a deflection in front
