Once again it's about that time......

Let it be said, I was going to post why Democrats don't win elections in the United States, but that post is going to take more work than the time I am allotted here, so it will have to wait for a rainy day.  Of course it is raining now, but that's beside the point.

The verdict is in.  I did win more cash in baseball league #3, but just 52.50, and considering it was 50 to get in,  it didn't really move me up the social ladder all that much.  McDonald's will still be fine dining for me.

As I write this, I am recording BIg Bands Ballads and Blues for our sister station.  Of course I am doing it at 4am, because my week from hell continues and this is the only time I have free time to get this type of work done.  Between this job and the part time gig, I have worked 10hrs Mon, 15 Tues, 19 Wed, 13 Thurs, and I am scheduled for a long one at the statioon today, I may sneak out for lunch, but this one started at 1am and finishes up at 11pm.   Plus I am filling in for an 8 hr day here at the station tomorrow.  I told you 90 hrs was possible.  Next week is looking just as good I might add.

Haven't been reading much.  Working on a book that is okay, but not compelling.  I don't have an urge to run back to it, but when I do read it, it is pretty good.  Titled "Imperial Grunts", it is mostly about how the US Special Forces operate around the globe and how many of the policy decisions are made by the men in the field rather than back in Washington, which is probably a good thing for them.   Currently reading about how they operate in Columbia, with all of the drug trafficking and kidnapping for profit that takes place.  Some of the cartels are sophisticated enough that they will run blockades on the road, stop your car, and run an internet search on your name to see if you are valuable enough to kidnap.  And to think I just my computer for porn and music.

Well, time to wrap this up, work beckons, and I should probably heed it's call, since it is less than an hour till I have to start running the board and doing show prep.  Don't forget to tip your waiter.
