Three things

Will the real Pittsburgh Pirates stand up?  At one point in time the Pirates were 14 games over .500 and had a firm grasp on one of the two National League wild card spots.  Now they are just 5 games over .500 and 2 ½ games out of the second wild card spot.  With 23 games remaining, Pittsburgh has to go 9-14 in order to finish with 81 wins and break a streak of 19 consecutive losing seasons.  The problem with that?  Since July 31, Pittsburgh is 12-23.

The RNC and DNC are now over and what was the end result?  Pretty much nothing, polling between the candidates hasn’t changed all that much and there was no campaign defining moment.  Which is pretty much like every other convention season.

The fall TV season is underway, with new shows and premieres from existing shows.  Someone wake me if there is something worthy of my attention.  If not, I can be found watching shows on Hulu instead.
