Geeze you'd think they would at least have sent you an invitation lol
ReplyDeleteI can't believe they want $3.25 for a soda, that's just highway robbery.
ReplyDeletewhat would you normally pay?
ReplyDeleteWell, I am a cheap bastard by my own admission, but I can get a 2 liter bottle of Pepsi at the grocery store in the $1.25-$1.50 range, dending on where it is and if it is on sale. That being said, I would never visit such an overpriced concession stand. It's like going to the baseball game where last year they wanted a whopping $7.75 for a beer. Thanks, but I will just get drunk before arriving.
ReplyDeletelol Matt, chris got something like that yesterday from the Atlanta Falcons..
ReplyDeleteI try not to but sometimes you don't have much choice, some venues won't allow you to bring in your own beverages. I'd usually opt for an overpriced bottle of water or a soda instead of overpriced alcohol served in those nasty disposable cups.
ReplyDeleteWell we used to be able to bring stuff into Piirates games, they changed the policy a few years ago. It doesn't matter though, if I know I am going to want to eat or drink, I just do it beforehand at someplace where I know I will like the food and drink and won't be as raked over the coals as if I buy the stuff at the game.
ReplyDeleteI can handle not having a drink for the duration of a sports game but a concert or maybe a theme park type venue usually end up getting something.
ReplyDeletelol good spoof
ReplyDeletethats what i'm talking about! where the hell do they get off selling "A BEER" for that much. thats insane. I can buy a six pack of good beer for that much! disguisting!
ReplyDeletelmao @ disney turns its kingdom over to the "unknown" and pritt in the same sentence. Sorry i found that very funny in relation to matt.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed the parades... I had them do this for you! lol
ReplyDeleteAt most concerts and football games we pay @ $6 per beer, even though at the football we are anly allowed to drink watered down cats piss, oops I mean light beer. A hotdog will set you back $5, and thats just the bun and the dog, if you want cheese or onion be prepared to pay $1 each. I actually don't mind paying that much for a beer, it's cheaper than buying a beer in the city. In tourist destinations such as Darling Harbour or the Opera House, your wallet will cry each time you take a $10 note out and only get $1 change. Don't even ask about spirits lol
ReplyDeleteSee, at my local watering hole, which I will admit is a dive, thus the charm, I can get a beer for $2 and if I go to the duistributor around the corner I can get a good case of beer for the $25-430 range, the shitty stuff I can get for maybe $6-7 a case.. And most of what is offered at the ballpark is the watered down light variety (usually Coors Light). The food is all overpriced as well, even the local chains that they allow to set up shop in the stadium (like Primanti Brothers or Benkovitz) they charge more just because it is the stadium than they do at their local local shops. It is one of the reasons why tailgaiting is so popular here, it is easier to set up a grill in the parking lot and bring your own food and beer and just get all full and drunk before ever going in.
