... Wind Chill Advisory in effect from 11 PM this evening to 10 am
EST Monday...
The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a Wind
Chill Advisory... which is in effect from 11 PM this evening to
10 am EST Monday.
Brisk west winds combined with overnight lows in the single digits
will bring wind chills of 10 below to 20 below zero.
A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
If you must venture outdoors... make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.

ReplyDeleteThey might want to extend this warning a bit, it is 1pm right now and we are a balmy 14 degrees with a wind chill of -3.
ReplyDeletethats what we just had and are getting hit with again matt! *cries* we are getting that with gusts of snow. For gods sakes if its warm enough to snow there shouldnt be a freaking wind chill!!! and especially not in the negatives! I hate winter and all it stands for!
