Say hello to my little friend

I have blogged infrequently about the fact that I play Diablo 2 in my spare time.  Well, since I am always up to learning new things, I figured I would go ahead and teach myself the fine art of screenshots by posting some pics of said game.  First, say hello to my character, Carlow.  Yes it's a she, as I play an amazon, simply because I find I am better with a bow than most melee weapons and the bow is something an amazon can specialize in.

Speaking of bows, I do use one as my primary weapon.

As time progresses, I may post more snapshots of her equipment, such as armor, rings, amulet, secondary weapon and what have you, but since I am just doing a little self learning here, this will have to suffice for now.

  2. I used to play that one as well. I think they still throw that in if you buy the Diablo Battle Chest, it comes with both games, though I am not sure if it comes with the Diablo 2 Expansion Lord of Destruction. I had beaten Diablo 2 once, way back when (version 1.06 I think), but then they went about fixing things on the Blizzard page, and through the course of fixing things they also made things much harder, practically reinventing the game for gameplay purposes and as a result since the upgrade (currently they are on version 1.11 I think), I never have beaten the game in it's current incarnation.

  3. I have been following the development of a new game for the past 12 months. And I'm quite excited that its due to be released here next month. Its called Fall of Liberty. Its a first person shooter that explores what would happen if the Nazis had defeated the Allies in Europe in WW2 and then invaded the USA. It will be the first game I have bought for PC instead of PS2 for well over 12 months.

  4. Most of my games are PS2 related as well, I have had Diablo 2 for a few years now and the most recent computer game I got, Sims 2, was a Christmas present, not something I bought myself. Usually I tend to wait until the price comes way down on games before I buy them and rarely to I buy a series of games, like the idiots that camp out for the latest version of Madden because there may be one or two things new about it, I have one version of the game, that is all I need. Similarly, I just went out and bought a Nascar game this weekend, of course it was used and it was Nascar 2002, but I got it for 4 bucks, so who am I to complain, it works, that is all it has to do.

  5. LMFAO, you sound like me. Rarely do I buy a new game, hot off the presses so to speak. The exception being Smackdown v's Raw, which I had actually pre- ordered. Lately when I decide I want a game for PS2, I have been trading in my older PS2 games, to bring the price even further down. After trading in just 4 games last month, I was able to pick up Guitar Hero 1 for the massive cost of just $3.95 lmfao

  6. The last game I can remember paying full price for was probably Final Fantasy X I think for the PS2, and before that it was the Lord of Destruction expansion pack for Diablo 2. Most of my games are dated, Nascar is 2002, Madden is 2003, hockey is 2003, baseball (home of Joe Random) is 2006, and basketball is 2003. Everything else I buy on the cheap, the very cheap if possible.

  7. I'm right into the Fifa series of soccer games. I have been buying then since they started in 1994. Fifa 2008 was released late last year, but I am yet to buy it. Matt (angies son), bought it while he was here in december and sold me his fifa 2007 game for $20, which he only owned for 6 months. He bought that when he was here in June and then gave me his fifa 2006. Before that Ang bought me fifa 2005 for my birthday, so with that game I have been quite lucky as the only time I ever payed full price for it was in 94, 98 and 2001. Well technically the 2001 version was half price lol. Alot of the games that I buy are dated as well. I bought a game called V8 supercars last year that was 3 years old for about $20. In fact I usually wait until most games I want are on special or occasionally and one of the specialist game stores, I might buy a second hand game that catches my eye.
