I am not sure that I am doing this so much for the normal frequenters of this blog (though they are more than welcome to listen) as I am for posterity's sake. In any event, since the radio station has ended our podcasting service because of the coming change in format that will see the end of the radio show, I am taking over the podcasting duties myself for listeners that wish to save them as keepsakes or what not. Here is the first of our last 4 shows. Enjoy!
Finally got around to listening to the rest of this tonight, I see the next show is already up lol
ReplyDeleteWell these shows are going to become less and less issue oriented as the week rolls on, and are becoming more and more nostalgic.
ReplyDeleteI found the email issue mentioned a couple of times on the show interesting, I need to look that up, haven't seen any news articles about that.
ReplyDeleteThe email issue is that a while back management decided to set up email accounts for all of the hosts with the stations name attached, so Lynn's email was lynn@amnewstalk1360.com. The problem was that the service was so unreliable, access to it was problematic at best. They tried this in the past with similar results, so when the idea was broached I told Lynn not to lose her yahoo email address, because at least it is somewhqat reliable, one of the few yahoo services that is I might add. I don't know if management pulled the plug on her address prematurely (which is possible, they pulled the podcasting service, which is why I am posting them on here and on Imeem) or whether it was a technical glitch as she hadn't gotten any new mail since Sunday and people were calling to say messages had bounced back, but since we have the back up address to work with (cullenshow@yahoo.com), that is what we have been using this week.
ReplyDeleteNo not Lynn's email....the whitehouse email issue Matt lol
ReplyDeleteFunny you should mention that, because I believe that way back in the day on my 360 blog I had posted an article from a British source (perhaps the BBC) that a law went into effect, compliments of the Bush administration, where employers had to keep a copy of their employees emails in case they were ever brought into an investigation, that stuff had to be available as part of the discovery process. At the time I thought it was a little much, my employer keeping tabs on everything I worte, but now that it is technically law, I can't see how you legally circumvent that by simply saying the emails were lost. That isn't a good enough reason and would I assume follow under the charge of obstruction.
