Matt~What a sad and terrible day for these families, the city and the nation. God help comfort them in their loss. It is one thing to read about it, but a different thing entirely to watch the grief.
The video was from the day they moved the officers to the City County Building, where they laid in state from 4pm yesterday until 10am this morning. The services this morning started with a procession there and a long service for all of the officers at the Peterson Events Center on the University of Pittsburgh campus, and those lasted most of the day, finishing up just a little before 5pm. I think all of the loocal stations covered it in its entirity, and just the numbers of people paying their respects, both police and just aerage every day citizens was mind blowing. It's just sad that it takes something of this horrible of a magnitude to bring people together.

ReplyDeleteThank you for the link.
((((Matt))))
It was a nice tribute, from the initial picture placement of each officer to the pall bearer procession to the mourners.
